We are in and moving! The Cedars, Alders and Clarkia will be working on cooperative games for their level for the next few weeks while they move, move, and move some more!
Huckleberries are working well together as they form different "buddy" groups, move safely around each other and learn about their own personal space in the gym. Trillium have been quickly learning what all of the cues are in P.E. You can ask them what apples, oranges, bananas, fruit punch and grapes are. P.E. Schedule: Cedars: Mon., Tue., Thur., Fri. Alders: Mon., Wed., Fri. Clarkia: Mon., Tues., Thur., Fri. Huckleberries: Mon. and Fri. for all - Tues. is South and Thur. is North Trillium: Tues. and Thur. Please remind your child to always have P.E. shoes for the above days. With much appreciation! Danielle Reeber

"Physical fitness is not only one of the most important keys to a healthy body, it is the basis of dynamic and creative intellectual activity." - John F. Kennedy
Philosophy I believe that Physical Education should teach life long skills that students can transfer to the rest of their school and personal life. P.E. should promote teamwork, individual growth, problem solving, and communication skills that are relevant, challenging and fun. The activities should facilitate growth in physical, social and emotional realms of the student’s life. P.E. Expectations I feel that all students will be successful in our P.E. classes if they are willing to:
Shoes It is extremely important that your child have proper shoes for P.E. They should be rubber soled tennis shoes with good support. Please provide the proper shoes and make sure that your child has them at school on their scheduled P.E. days. They will be required to borrow shoes from the "shoe closet" if they do not have the appropriate shoes on. Thank you for your support and cooperation. We are wrapping up a great bowling unit this week. The kids have been doing an amazing job working together as they bowl in their lanes. It has been fun and challenging for the students to keep score. Lots of addition! The Clarkia up through Cedars should be able to tell you how to keep score when they bowl strikes and spares. The Huckleberries were working hard on their addition skills. We are celebrating our unit with an event at the Molalla Bowling Alley.
