The weather has sure made it challenging to finish and/or continue our scheduled curriculum. The speedstacking unit came to an end with a fun filled 2 day station event. The students were able to time themselves for all 3 skills. The 3-3-3, the 3-6-3 and the Full Cycle. They also used the mini cups, participated in relaysand created some amazing free stacking formations. Cedar, Alders and Clarkia will be working on their own personal fitness and a few unique games that require reaction time, agility, the skill of catching, competitiveness, eye hand coordination and footwork. Ask them to show you how to play Lob Ball. A game that only takes 2 people and a tennis ball. It can be played anywhere that you can bounce a tennis ball and have a space about 12 X 12.
The Huckleberries and Trillium will be enjoying a parachute unit this month. This is usually a favorite of all students. They will be working on large teamwork, listening skills, arm strength, and cooperation.
